End of Summer Mocktail: Venezuelan Tizana
This is the perfect drink for a hot summer day. If you are in the north east, like me you know these days are numbered, the leaves are already falling! It’s inspired by the Venezuelan drink, Tizana, which is made with chopped fruit and grenadine and can be spiked.
This version uses Tadin’s Organic Hibiscus and Green Tea Mango teas instead of the grenadine to give it color and a floral flavor. You can garnish with any fresh seasonal fruit, including fresh berries or melons.
For a sweeter drink, add a drizzle of agave or your favorite simple syrup. If you don't have zero-proof tequila, feel free to skip or add a few dashes of nonalcoholic bitters (my favorite is orange).
Let me know if you try it!

Add the tea bags and boiling water to a large heatproof jar.
Let the Mango Green tea brew for three minutes and the Organic Hibiscus for five minutes before discarding the tea bags. Allow the tea to cool (you can also brew them separately).
Add the ice, cooled tea, peach nectar, and zero-proof tequila to a glass. Top with seltzer and garnish with freshly sliced seasonal fruit and an edible flower.
