Movie Night: Cinnamon Butter Popcorn with Dulce de Leche
Movie Night: Cinnamon Butter Popcorn with Dulce de Leche
Save this recipe for your next movie night! The cinnamon flavor comes from infusing Canelita Tea, which is a rich tea made with a blend of rose hips, cinnamon, and black tea in butter or coconut oil. You can also do this with a 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon instead of the tea.
Notes: Squeezing the tea bags makes sure you get every drop of flavor and butter out of them. This popcorn is best eaten right away. You can also mix the butter and dulce de leche (caramel sauce works too) in individual bowls.

Ingredients:
Serves: 1-2
2 bags Tadin Canelita Tea
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil, warmed
1/2 cup popcorn, popped
1/4 cup dulce de leche, warmed
⅛ tsp. sea salt
⅛ tsp Tadin organic ground cinnamon, garnish
Instructions
Warm the butter, and dulce de leche separately, in a small saucepan for about two minutes or until warm or place in the microwave in a heatproof container for 20-30 seconds or until warm.
Add the warmed butter over the tea bags. Steep for 10 minutes and remove the tea bags; squeeze them well to get all the flavor out.
Pour the infused butter and warmed dulce de leche over the popcorn, and sprinkle it with sea salt and cinnamon. Mix and eat immediately.
Chef Carla Notes:
- I use an air popper to make my popcorn.

This is the perfect drink for a hot summer day. If you are in the north east, like me you know these days are numbered, the leaves are already falling! It’s inspired by the Venezuelan drink, Tizana, which is made with chopped fruit and grenadine and can be spiked.
