I can’t wait for you to LISTEN to this podcast with Tejal V. Patel. Put your headphones on and listen now!
Tejal V Patel is a former divorce attorney turned mindful parenting coach and meditation expert for families. She’s the host of the Time-In Talks Podcast, speaker and author of Mom’s Choice Gold Award Winning book Meditation for Kids: 40 Activities To Manage Emotions, Ease Anxiety and Stay Focused.
Our conversation starts by Tejal talking about how she makes ancient practices like yoga and meditation fun and playful for children (and adults). She goes into the Ayurvedic Clock and how she uses this sister science of yoga to plan her days.
We talk about her journey as a teacher, visionary, nurturer. She talks about the blocks to investing in personal development and spiritual growth and reminds us it’s for people to feel accountable and get support. It’s also greatest growth in the shortest period of time.
She talks about shifting stress from things that we want to control outside ourselves to looking inward. We aren’t fueling or charging ourselves consistently.
When we learn to manage our energy through the tools of breathwork, moving our bodies in a specific way we are moving the energy and stress.
Tejal goes deep into social media and her practice of 15 minutes during the day and at night. She also deletes the apps to create space as well and physically distancing herself from her electronics.
There are so many gems and delicious quotes in this podcast like these ones:
“It’s one thing to want to be our be our best version of ourselves…learning how to invest in our personal development and spiritual growth sometimes there is a disconnect there, we have have the excitement to do it but when it comes to investing in our personal development or growth (it’s guilt: time, money, or a return on investment.)”
“Stress in simply a red flag that there is friction in our system.”
