Hey, it's chef Carla and welcome to show up fully. This is a podcast where I share what it's like to show up for your real life if you don't know me I'm a food stylist and content creation coach. You can find me @itscarlacontreras on Instagram and more information in today's show notes. This episode is a podcast snack. It's where I share a quote that's inspired me and I invite you to apply it to your life.

This quote is by my friend Isabelle Dias we met through Pinterest she is an incredible creator. She's a personal development specialist and a mental health advocate and this quote is from her newsletter I will put all of her information in today's show notes so that you can connect with her I am going to read this quote and before I read it. I'm going to tell you a little bit of background of why it stood out I was in the middle of an Instagram Newsletter Podcast break and I really was feeling like I should be posting and I know. I teach about this like it's okay to take breaks. It's okay to take a pause on content creation.

We you know, especially content creators are people that are creating content. It requires space. In order to let that creativity flow. We cannot be expected to create the same every single day and that's the way that I teach things and I do this through teaching other content creators in my poppy content lab. So for me, it's really hard. To live what I teach and so during this content creation break I received Isabelle's newsletter and I also want to put out there that I deleted email from my phone I'm not saying that I deleted it all together.

I deleted it from my phone and when I was telling people that I did this like oh my goodness it felt like a radical thing to say to people I deleted email from my phone. So while I was on my desktop I received isabel's newsletter. And this quote just hit me I was like all right? Yes and I'm going to read it to you I'm going to read it twice. Let these words wash over you. They're also going to be in the show notes along with journal prompts all right remember resting is not giving up.

Resting is about recharging and refocusing None more time remember resting is not giving up resting is about recharging and refocusing these are powerful words. And these are powerful things to take a pause take a beat and allow yourself to fully rest. What would that feel like to fully be in the experience of rest. I am so excited to hear what you think about this quote from isabel dias you can learn more about her in the show notes along with me if you have any questions I would love if you would send me a Dm again.
