The Overnight Chia Oats That Save My Mornings (And Sometimes Afternoons)
These overnight chia oats are really simple and can be prepped in under 2 minutes (minus stirring). They are best when made the night before or at least have a few hours to sit so the chia + oats can absorb the milk. I prepare three at a time. Yes, they can be heated but it’s not my fav.
This is not so much a recipe, it’s really a “make it your own template” for overnight chia oats. I like my oats with extra milky + warm berries on top. You might like less milk with sliced banana and a spoon of almond butter stirred in. Eat this in the morning or as a late afternoon snack, like I do sometimes.

Instructions:
Add all the ingredients into a jar or small airtight container.
Stir immediately, and stir every few minutes for about 10 minutes so the chia seeds don’t clump.
Alternatively put the lid on the jar tight and shake!
Store in the fridge up to three days. Top with whatever you like.
*Add as much milk as you like! Play + test this to find your sweet spot.
This is the perfect drink for a hot summer day. If you are in the north east, like me you know these days are numbered, the leaves are already falling! It’s inspired by the Venezuelan drink, Tizana, which is made with chopped fruit and grenadine and can be spiked.
